Forest Hills Apartments
Forest Hills Apartments was the home of Jon Reddick during his senior year and a half at Florida State University.
When Jon's lifelong friend, Jason Harden, decided to leave FSU and return home after his sophomore year, Jon had to decide whether to stay in the dormitory room he and Jason had shared and roll the dice on a new random roommate, or move out of campus housing into an apartment.
Hardly able to afford the dorm fees, Jon's mother surely could not afford the cost of an apartment and utilities, so Jon took on a part-time job working as a room service waiter at the Radisson hotel in Tallahassee in order to afford his own apartment.
Initially Jon shared apartment B-6 with Michael Eggen, but after one year, Mike left college and moved out. By then Jon had nearly graduated from FSU, and his part-time job had turned into a full-time job, so he opted to forgo a new roommate and keep the apartment to himself.
As such, Forest Hills is of particular significance as the only time and address where Jon lived, self sufficiently, by himself. Prior to this apartment he was reliant on his parents, and after this point he shared housing and financial responsibilities with his girlfriend (and later wife), Ro.
