International Destinations

Countries visited by Kevin McNulty.

Kevin has visited four different countries:

  • Canada
    • Calgary - Kevin travelled with his roommate, Kata, to Calgary, Alberta for the 1988 Winter Olympics. There they saw:
      • Bonnie Blair win two gold medals and set a world's record in speed skating.
      • The Jamaican bobsled team in the two-man event
      • Germany vs. Sweden in hockey
    • They also and made good friends with locals Brad and Marty. Brad and Marty travelled to California for Kev and Deb's wedding and Deb and Kev returned the favor in 1989 when they travelled to Alberta for their one year anniversary.
    • Edmonton - to see the West Edmonton Mall (the world's largest
    • Banff National Park - to the Columbia Ice Field where Deb and Kev climbed the Athabasca Glacier.
  • England - Kevin's parents very generously arranged for a week in London for his college graduation.
    • London - While there he saw Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the National Theatre, Westminster Abby, Piccadily Circus, and even fed the pigeons in Trafalgar Square. He saw Cats during its original run in the West End. He was even there for the "Queen's Birthday" parade where he saw the entire Royal Family, including then Princess Diana. His most memorable moment there, though, was watching the Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower of London, a priviledge for which his father had obtained tickets for months in advance.
    • Salsbury Plain - He also made a day trip in Salsbury Plain where he saw Salsbury Cathedral and Stonehenge.
      Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica.
  • Jamaica - Kevin and Debbie honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at the Couples resort. While there they visited Dunn's River Falls and the Ocho Rios Market, as well as soaking up the sun (and the free drinks...and the buffets) at the resort.
  • Mexico - Though some would argue that Tiajuana doesn't really count as Mexico, the US Border Patrol feel differently, and Kevin has been to Tiajuana a handful of times.
