Jon's History with Thomson

On April 30, 2007, Jon left his longtime position at WCTV in Tallahassee, Florida, to begin work at the Thomson office in Jacksonville, Florida. At the time he was not an employee of Thomson, but rather a contract worker recruited by ATS.

On January 2, 2008, an offer was made for Jon to become a full-time regular employee of Thomson, but for more a salary more than $10,000 below that which he had as a contractor. He declined, stating that he would not be able to stay on at anything less than his current contractor's annual salary.

On January 4, 2008, a second offer was made, for nearly $15,000 more than the first, and he accepted. His first day as a full-time employee at Thomson Grass Valley was January 7, 2008.
