Charles is a film buff who would sooner watch a movie he's seen a hundred times than watch most of the stuff on TV today.
In the days leading up to the first time he played in a Killearn Poker Tour game, I had seen the film "Rounders" 4 or 5 times (it was in rotation on Starz). He had no idea that he would be prompted for his poker nickname when first being entered into the computer
So after thinking for a few minutes, he chose "Charlie Checker" in relation to the scene from "Rounders" where Mike McDermmot defeats Teddy KGB.
MIKE: I flopped the nut straight.
